Tammy Kassiou is a visionary Australian entrepreneur, humanitarian and international business leader whose work focuses on social impact, economic empowerment and inclusive education. As the founder of the Philotimo Group, Tammy leads a global organisation driving workforce mobilisation, training and human development in some of the world’s most dynamic emerging markets.

Tammy is also the founder and chair of the GEM Foundation, dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible education and training in Timor-Leste, including through the GEM Institute, the country’s first English-language and internationally aligned training and education centre. Under her leadership, the GEM Institute has become a catalyst for change in education, vocational training and job readiness for both local and global career opportunities.

From pioneering connectivity through Vorakai Lda, Timor-Leste’s first Starlink ISP, to launching sector-specific training aligned to global workforce needs, Tammy is committed to building nations from the inside out, empowering people, elevating communities and transforming futures.
